Who Are We?

Millard North High School launched their competitive show choir during the 2009-2010 school year with one prep show choir under the direction of Scott Dugdale.  After a very successful debut, Millard North expanded the number of show choirs to two for 2010-2011 school year - Showstoppers, now known as Infinity, the mixed varsity group, and Illumination, the women's group.  In 2013, Millard North was pleased to announce another expansion in the show choir program with the newest prep group, Intensity. Under the direction of Ms. Megan Tantillo, The program has tripled in size to a whooping 163 performers, a 20 piece band, Insanity, and a 15 person tech and stage crew.

It is the mission of Millard North Show Choirs to engage students in creative expression of singing, dancing and performing popular, relevant music; To instill confidence in its members, to teach responsibility, time management and organization, and to serve as ambassadors to the school, community, and state.

OUR TEAM.

 

Megan Tantillo

Director of Choral Activities

 

Ms. Tantillo received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in voice from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, as well as a Master's of Arts Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. At Millard North, she conducts the three Millard North choral ensembles, teaches the International Baccalaureate Music Course, directs the school musical, and manages the varsity show choir, Infinity. When she’s not at Millard North, Megan spends time choreographing show choirs and musicals across the region, singing at a local church, and most importantly playing with her black lab bear!

Elizabeth Fritton

Illumination Director

 

Elizabeth Fritton graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree, and is also a Kodaly Certified Educator (a method of music education). She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education degree from Morningside College. She teaches K-6 music at Springfield Elementary in Springfield, Nebraska, and works at Millard North as the assistant musical director and director of Illumination, the women's show choir. When she's not at Millard North, Elizabeth spends her time reading and listening to her favorite musical waitress! 

Braxton Carr

Intensity Director

 

Braxton Carr is currently a Music Education major at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Braxton is an innovative show choir choreographer; having designed over 40 shows for schools, studios and camps since 2014. In Braxton’s career he has recieved over 10 Best Choreography awards and continues to choreograph for some of the top middle school and high school programs in Nebraska. When he's not at Millard North, Braxton spends time singing with UNL’s first a cappella group, Bathtub Dogs and is a member of the University Singers and the schools show choir, Big Red Singers.

Nick Johnson

Insanity Director

 

Mr. Nicholas Johnson is a BME student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, his primary instrument of study being percussion. Nicholas has also been teaching private students for over 6 years and has had several opportunities to give drum set master classes at many local high schools. A prominent live and session drummer, his performance history is laced with amazing opportunities with several professional musicians.  Nicholas is also proud to serve his state and country in the 43rd Army Band of the Nebraska National Army Guard.
